The Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds stars as the Green Lantern, a superhero of sorts in this, another comic book adaptation. It also stars Blake Lively as the love interest although the isn't a huge amount of mushy love stuff in it! There were moments of cartoonishness (is that a word?) but was quite enjoyable. The plot is that something or someone is destroying civilisations and it kills the alien wearing the all powerful ring that then finds Ryan Reynolds and makes him the Green Lantern. He then has to fight to save the earth as well as the rest of the universe. There was a little bit after the main credits too which sets us up for Lantern 2 predictably!!
