The Town

We went to see The Town starring Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm and Jeremy Renner; it's about bank robbers and is set in Boston. Affleck plays Doug who is the leader of a gang of bank robbers who take Claire (Hall) as a hostage for a short time. The film follows the activities of the gang, the FBI investigation into the robberies (led by Hamm) and the budding relationship between Doug and Claire (who doesn't know he was one of the robbers in her bank).
This was written and directed by Ben Affleck who is emerging as quite a talent both on and off screen after some notable flops (Gigli anyone?). I found some of the dialogue a bit tricky to follow with the strong Boston accents but still very much enjoyed it.
