Gonna keep this brief as ice cream is calling! I saw Midnight in Paris a couple of weeks ago and I had no idea what to expect other than a Woody Allen film starring Owen Wilson. It was quite mad and reminded my of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure but for people who know a lot about art and literature. Slightly bizarre but quite enjoyable!
The Help was a great film starring Emma Stone as an aspiring writer who puts together a book of stories from the point of view of African American maid's looking after white families in 1960's America. Also starring Viola Davis who was excellent as one of the maid's.
I just saw Contagion which is full of A-list actors including Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow and the irritating Jude Law with a well dodgy Australian/cockney accent! It's about a new virus that starts spreading around the world and charts it progress by day. The film started off well but slowed down a lot and got slightly tedious later on and Jude Law was almost unbearable with his crappy accent and dodgy teeth. Quite a scary film really as it doesn't seem to be beyond the realms of possibility.

Crazy, Stupid, Love
I just watched Crazy, Stupid Love which stars Steve Carrell, Julianne Moore and Ryan Gosling. Carrell is stunned when his wife (Moore) tells him at dinner one day she wants a divorce and it sets in motion his re-invention as a much cooler version of himself when he meets a young man (Gosling) in a bar who sets out to teach him how to look good and pick up women. It also stars Emma Stone and Kevin Bacon in what was a very surprisingly enjoyable film. I'd heard several people say it was just okay and both my friend and I loved it! Plus Ryan Gosling is so hot he looks airbrushed!

Lots of films!!!
I've been very slack so am going to do a quick run down of the films I've seen!
30 Minutes or Less starring Jesse Eisenberg and others about a chap who has a bomb strapped to him and forced to rob a bank or he'll be blown up. Very funny and well worth watching!
The Change-Up starring Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds which is basically Freaky Friday with a married man with kids and a man-whore (best friends) who body-swap. It' was much better than I thought it would be and another one worth the time to watch!
I Don't Know How She Does it stars Sarah Jessica Parker as the mum with 2 kids and a high flying job. Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear are also in it. It was as expected, quite funny in places but not one I'd watch over and over.
What's Your Number I watched today and was expecting a silly funny rom-com and was very pleasantly surprised. It stars Anna Faris and the yummy Chris Evans as neighbours who help each other out: him with finder her exes and her with helping him ditch his latest conquest. Very sweet and funny and I might even buy it on DVD!!
