Last night we watched the funniest episode of South Park! I forget how good it is as we rarely watch it because it's on quite late but occasionally flick through the channels and catch an episode. This one featured the 'furry death' and lots of pan pipe music (they call it pan flute). Sadly this was part one of a two-parter and although I've added South Park to Sky+ I think we've missed he second part. Here's a clip anyway.

I also saw the film Precious which is really pretty tough to watch in places but ultimately quite an uplifting story about someone making an effort to improve their circumstances despite being given a terrible start in life. Mariah Carey was surprisingly good in it too.
I've been getting very excited watching the birds in our garden as at one point we had eight goldfinches on our bird-feeder. Very exciting! They're pretty little birds as you can see here:

My first blog post
Well, this is my first blog and the first entry so I'll explain why I'm writing this. I always have lots to say about any given subject so thought it might be a good outlet for me to have another avenue to channel my thoughts. Maybe rant a little, who knows?
I may not write in this every day but I aim to post something at least a couple of times a week. Or, at least until I get bored and move onto something else! I suspect it may be the mundane details of my daily life so don't really expect anyone to read this but it's a good way for me to vent any frustrations - being careful, of course, not to name names if I'm bitching!! Seems a bit odd just writing whatever pops into my head and sending it out onto the interweb but hey ho this is the 'tenties' or 'teenies', or whatever we opted to call them in the end!!
To tell you a little about me. I'm a 34 year old female, married and living with my husband in the south-east of England. I realise my life is pretty good and in general I have no reason to complain about anything. That's not to say the small things don't irritate the life out of me and that, I suspect, is what I shall write most about. The reason I'm starting a blog is that I would like to be able to write but never seem to find any inspiration except for random ideas I never get down on paper. This way I can write about what I know; my life. I hadn't considered a blog until a few hours ago in my car when it seemed like the best idea ever. Anyway, we'll see.
